Notes following WEEK 9

MISC.:  Wear pink on Monday for Cancer Awareness!

One thing that really helps our students is to have parents and students review the papers that come home each day.  If a test comes home, please review it with your child and make sure s/he understands what s/he got wrong and why.

PHONICS Sound/ spelling focus:  long i spelled i and i_e; /s/ spelled ce, ci, cy; long o spelled o and o_e; and /z/ spelled s.

I am happy to see that many students are using Reading Eggs and Raz Kids at home.  These products will really help them become good readers.

MATH -  Topic 5 is about learning math facts to 20.  You have access to the pearson website if you would like to review the videos with your child.

SCIENCE:  We had a great inquiry / observation on Friday (something I liked from the STEM conference I attended earlier in the week.  Ask your student about the cups of 'water'.

Thanks to everyone who supported our fall fundraiser, the FUN RUN!  It's not too late, if you'd like to send in a donation!
